Inefficient Energy
Probably
the most inefficient form of energy known to the universe is electricity. It
isn’t just bad, it’s really bad. It’s not just the loss of efficiency of
generators or the massive losses due to distribution; it’s also the existence
of power stations. That might sound an odd thing to say but if a giant gas
powered power station is built to supply heating to homes at huge manufacturing
costs, with a large workforce with loads of maintenance, then wouldn’t it be
cheaper to just supply the homes with gas.
Inefficient energy came to mind because governments want eco friendly cars which run on electricity. Feel free to laugh. Talk of unwanted truths? Oh, for those who think cars are inefficient because they have to carry their fuel, a few gallons of unleaded weighs around 10kg, a Ford Escort with two blokes inside around a 1000kg. The extra weight isn't going to make that much difference.
