Independent Nuclear Deterrent
Actually Britain’s independent nuclear deterrent isn’t quite independent. It’s a sort of joint effort with the Americans and the cost is split. We pay for the submarines, the missiles, the crews and maintenance, while the Americans pay for the red button to fire them.
Does anyone know if we have the same arrangement with cruise missiles?
