Asbestos

Apart from the fact that asbestos kills horribly, little is said about it. What the conversation should be about is how long business and government have been aware. Now we know as long as there is a quid to be made business will do what they perceive necessary to get that quid such as putting rat poison (fluoride) in water supplies but what about the government. Certainly people who were in the know knew the dangers of asbestos in the early twentieth century. By the nineteen thirties everyone knew so why did it take another sixty years to get rid of it? Sorry correction, the stuff is still all over the place especially in schools, I will reword that. Why did it take sixty years to prevent further production?

What we should never do is under-estimate the devastation caused by this substance and it’s quite possible that it could be the death of you and me.
